Hi, in this
blog I would like to talk about a place in the city that really likes me, the “Parque
Quinta Normal”.
Parque
Quinta Normal was founded in 1842 it has 40 hectares of extension and it is considered
like nature's sanctuary since 1976 due to its species diversity of plants.
Inside the
park there’s an artificial lagoon, is so beautiful and the visitors can use rent
boats. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to use the boats
In addition
to the lagoon, the park possesses many museums, for example: the railroad
museum, the museum of natural history and the Science and Technology Museum and
in the park’s surroundings you can find the Santiago's library, the culture center “Matucana 100”, the Artequin, and The Museum of Memory and Human Rights.
I remember
the first time I went to Parque Quinta Normal I was 13 years old and I visited
the Museum of natural history with my schoolmates and Miss Pilar, she was
my teacher of biology and chemistry. The experience was amazing.
I usually go to the park one or two times for month because is free entry and you have
a freedom to make a picnic, walk, sleep under the trees, make different sports
and many other thinks.
I hope the quarentine finished soon because this form i can go to visited the park with my friends and play volleyball or cards in the grass.
